Costa Daurada is a territory with some incredible landscapes, full of contrasts and perfect beauty. Reddish rocks inland stand on their feet to admire the sea, while becoming the best viewpoints for some incredible sunrises and sunsets. Fields are turned into colourful carpets, architectures that witness the passing of ancient civilizations or the footprint of a unique style of the territory, Modernism, or simply natural areas of great harmony that reconcile us with the Earth.

Today, we’d like to share 6 Instagrammable spots in Costa Daurada, one per comarca, you should definitely visit to take unique photos.

1/ L’Areny de Mont-roig ─with rocks shaped from the Triassic period more than 250 million years ago─ is a stunning place of great and never-ending beauty. And, while you’re there, enjoy a lovely walk all the way to the Mare de Déu de la Roca hermitage.

2/ In the Tarraco Amphitheatre you can get yourselves in the role of old gladiators or sit on its terraces and wait for a naval battle to begin or ferocious lions to be unleashed. Just next to it, the omnipresent MareNostrum, sea of civilizations.

3/ From the blue shades of the sea all the way to the green tint of the vineyards at Montferri to admire the Mare de Déu de Montserrat sanctuary. This Costa Daurada’s Modernist treasure, looks ─from a bird’s-eye-view─ like a boat sailing towards Montserrat, the sacred mountain.

4/ Conca de Barberà is, unquestionably, one of the comarcas with the most variety of colour shades, which shift throughout the year. Guàrdia dels Prats is known for the fields packed with common poppies that transform the landscape into a red sea.

5/ El Vendrell, just near the seaside area known as Sant Salvador, is home to Les Madrigueres, an area of high ecological, environmental and landscape interest, with its own ecosystem and a diversity of habitats. Its harmony will certainly connect you with the planet, that is for sure.

6/ On top of the Serra del Montsant Natural Park, find the Roca Falconera, a by-word for stunning natural beauty postcards. Seen from La Morera de Montsant ─the highest village in Costa Daurada─, La Falconera shifts through different shades of colour as the sunset evolves.

Let’s go then, right? Oh, and don’t forget to tag @costadauradatur when posting your pictures!
